Logan Dechter

Logan Dechter currently serves as a Professional School Counselor for both Julius West Middle School and Bayard Rustin Elementary School within Montgomery County Public Schools since February 2022. Additionally, Logan has been a Mental Health Counselor at INSPIRE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LLC since June 2025, utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy that incorporates client-centered, psychodynamic, and feminist perspectives. Active in the Camp Kesem organization since January 2020, Logan has held multiple roles including Mental Health Professional, Camp Advisor, and LGBTQ2IA+ Affinity Group Alumni Facilitator. Logan's foundational experiences include serving as a Professional School Counseling Intern and Practicum Student with Prince George's County Public Schools, as well as various positions within crisis services, further demonstrating a deep commitment to mental health and school counseling. Logan holds multiple degrees from the University of Maryland, including a Master of Education in School Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
