Clara van Gerven

Clara Van Gerven currently serves as an Inpatient Hospice Social Worker at Montgomery Hospice since August 2020. Prior experience includes a Palliative Care Social Work Fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and a Master of Social Work program at the University of Maryland Baltimore, where Clara completed studies from August 2017 to May 2019. Clara also interned in palliative social work at Johns Hopkins Medicine and at Marian House as a Social Work Intern. Prior to a career in social work, Clara held various roles at the National Federation of the Blind for over a decade, including Manager of Accessibility Programs and Access Technology Content Specialist, and worked as an HR Specialist at IBM from 2004 to 2006.
