Paraic Byrne has a strong background in actuarial work. Paraic began their career as an Actuary at Berlitz Dublin in 1998. Paraic then moved on to Segrave-Daly & Lynch, where they worked as an Actuary from 1999 to 2005. In 2005, they joined Friends First as an Actuarial Analyst for DB Pensions and later took on roles such as Senior Actuarial Analyst and Solvency II Project Leader. In 2013, they became an Actuarial Manager at Friends First and was subsequently promoted to Head of Actuarial. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as the Head of Actuarial Reporting at Aviva. Currently, they are employed as the Head of Actuarial Function at Monument Re Group, a position they have held since 2021.
Paraic Byrne is a highly educated individual with a strong background in the field of actuarial science. Paraic obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Dublin City University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their undergraduate studies, Paraic also holds a Fellow certification from the Institute of Actuaries. Paraic has further enhanced their expertise by obtaining additional certifications, including FIA (Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and FSAI (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland) from the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
