Philip Kilmartin

Philip Kilmartin has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Philip is currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer at Monument Re Group since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Aviva as the Chief Operations Officer for Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC from May 2018 to April 2021. Before joining Aviva, they held various roles at Friends First Life Assurance Co., including Chief Operations Officer, Company Programme Manager, Operations Director at Friends First Finance, and Chief Information Officer. Philip also worked at Eureko/Achmea as the European Life & Pensions Manager in Division International, and at Friends First International as the Head of Friends First International. Philip has also gained experience at Eureko B.V., Friends First Life Assurance Company, Friends Provident, NM Life, and National Mutual Life Association Ltd in various managerial positions.

Philip Kilmartin has a diverse education history. In 1984, they attended the Chartered Insurance Institute, where they studied insurance, law, and economics and obtained a degree in Chartered Insurer. Philip then pursued higher education at Henley Business School from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a diploma in management.

In 1996, Kilmartin continued their education at Henley Business School and completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from 1996 to 1998. During this time, they focused on various subjects including strategy, human resources, finance, information technology, and business transformation.

Philip further enhanced their skillset in 1999 by attending the Eureko Academy for the Eureko Management Programme, and in 2006, they completed the Eureko Executive Development Programme at Hult Ashridge.

Kilmartin continued their education in 2016 through the MI Academy, where they participated in the Achema Division International - Digital Accelerator Program. This program emphasized creating lasting value using data and insights.

Most recently, in 2018 and 2019, Kilmartin attended the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, focusing on Strategy Development & Innovation. However, the field of study for this degree is not specified.
