James van Stone

James Van Stone has extensive experience in the sports and entertainment industry, currently serving as President of Business Operations and Chief Commercial Officer at Monumental Sports & Entertainment since August 2007. In this role, Van Stone oversees operations for the Washington Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, Georgetown University Men's Basketball, and the Verizon Center. Previous positions include Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales and Service at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, as well as roles at Georgetown University as an adjunct professor. Prior to these, Van Stone held senior roles in sales and service at organizations such as the Phoenix Coyotes, Comcast-Spectacor, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers. Van Stone earned a Master of Education in Sports and Recreation Administration from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
