Diogo Matias

Diogo Matias has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Diogo is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Monzo Bank since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Engineering Manager at tray.io from July 2019 to November 2021.

Before their roles in management, Diogo worked as a Product Catalyst and Technical Product Owner at EqualEd Ltd. from February 2017 to April 2018. Here, they spearheaded the product discovery efforts and led an agile product team to develop a suite of AR/VR virtual science labs.

Diogo also co-founded DOGMA - start-finish.one, where they served as a Co-founder and Software Architect from March 2016 to March 2018. Diogo gained expertise in software architecture and played a crucial role in the company's early stages.

Diogo'searlier experiences include working at EF Education First as a Product Owner from May 2015 to October 2016 and as a Software Engineer and Lead Web Developer from October 2013 to September 2015. Diogo also worked as a Frontend Engineer at Struq from October 2012 to September 2013.

Diogo's career started at Portugal Telecom - SAPO, where they worked as an IPTV Apps Tech Lead and Multi-platform Senior Developer from March 2009 to November 2012. Prior to this, they were a Senior Developer at brightmatter from February 2007 to February 2009, and worked as a Web Developer and IT Consultant at Bytecode from May 2006 to 2007.

Diogo Matias attended Escola Secundária Ferreira Dias from 1997 to 2000, where they studied Design and Applied Arts. Following this, they pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of Lisbon from 2000 to 2004.
