Neil Farrington

Neil Farrington has gained extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Neil started their professional journey in 2011 as a Customer Service Assistant at Phostyx Limited. Neil then joined VATSIM UK in 2014, where they served as a Linux Systems Administrator & Full Stack Developer and later became the Web Systems Director. In 2016, they worked at UKCloud Ltd as a Technical Team Member (Placement), providing data center management and network operations support. From 2013 to 2020, Neil worked at CubedHost, starting as a Support Team Member and progressing to become the Senior Support Technician and eventually the Head of HR & Customer Relations, managing a technical support team. In 2015, they worked as an IT Service Desk Analyst at the University of Birmingham. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Rightmove as a Platforms Engineer, responsible for supporting and maintaining Java and Node.JS microservices and leading the Docker project migration. Currently, Neil is employed at MOO as a Principal Engineer, where they were previously a Senior Platform Engineer responsible for the technical strategy and architectural support in the development teams, as well as managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.

Neil Farrington completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham from 2014 to 2018. Neil also undertook a Summer Intensive program in Computer Science at Stanford University in 2015.
