Nihal Pimpale

Nihal Pimpale is the current Chief Design Officer at Moonraft Innovation Labs. Nihal has over 10 years of experience in the design industry, with a focus on user experience design. Prior to joining Moonraft, Nihal was the Head of Design at UST, where they Ideated and prototyped web apps for a travel tech company that powered over 4.8 Mn bookings. Nihal has also held the position of Director - UX Design at Moonraft Innovation Labs, where they led the creative team to design an innovative conversational experience for T-Mobile’s open source project NEXT; presented at AWS Re:Invent 2018. In their role as Creative Director at "ITERNIA" Branding and Communication Design, Nihal was responsible for creating solution journeys, conducting research, analysis, ideation, prototyping, setting design standards, and stakeholder buy-ins.

Nihal Pimpale's educational career began with a Bachelor's in Communication Design from SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY. Nihal then went on to study Computer Engineering at All India Shivaji Memorial Societys College of Engineering, Pune. After working in the field for a few years, Nihal decided to pursue a Design Leadership for Business degree from Parsons School of Design - The New School. In addition to their formal education, Nihal has also received certification from The Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) in Interaction Design Foundation Member, Chartered Society Of Designers India in Certified Chartered Designer, IDEO U in Ideas to Action, and Human Factors International in Designing Applications for Mobile.
