Shu Yang

Shu Yang has worked for three companies: Moonshot Brands (2022-present), Amazon (2021-2022), and Chamberlain Group (2019-2021). At Moonshot Brands, Shu Yang is the Sourcing Director. At Amazon, Shu Yang was the Quality Manager, responsible for B2B Office, Lab & Medical, Safety categories, as well as defining Product Requirement Documents to support Product Manager and Sourcing Manager on product development, leading vendor and 3rd Party lab on product quality verification, and monitoring Amazon customers’ comments review and launching continuous improvement to improve customers’ satisfaction. At Chamberlain Group, Shu Yang was the Supplier Quality Engineer, acting as both the NPD leader and Quality leader. As NPD leader, Shu Yang was responsible for building a network between Chamberlain and suppliers on finish goods categories, implementing APQP procedure for NPD, and working with supplier and 3rd party lab on prototype/PPAP/Pilot run sample quality approval. As Quality leader, Shu Yang managed 3 key PFG suppliers with the spend of 28M USD, built up quality routine by quality KPI monitoring, process audit, PSN/PSI, and optimized internal assessment procedure. For \u8fea\u5361\u4fac, Shu Yang was the Indus Production Leader and Project Leader (Purchasing, Quality, Indus) for key components, as well as the Quality Production Leader. As Indus Production Leader, Shu Yang was responsible for building a network in Decathlon and suppliers to manage Inline & Ice skates projects, managing the industrialization steps, leading to build up & formalize indus procedure, optimizing supplier process, cost, and quality, and supporting colleagues as internal quality instructor and mentor of new comers. As Project Leader (Purchasing, Quality, Indus) for key components, Shu Yang was responsible for consolidating & optimizing wheel & brake panel, managing 4 key & dominated wheel suppliers and 1 brake supplier, mastering component cost breakdown, and supporting and cooperating with suppliers to improve their autonomy and competence. As Quality Production Leader, Shu Yang was responsible for launching DE & supplier projects, monitoring the performance, setting up quality control plan, following up CAP, working with FG supplier to build up rank 2 management routine, and coaching internal QA assessment in FG supplier and Rank 2.

Shu Yang obtained a Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Central South University from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Hunan University of Science and Technology from 2008 to 2012. In addition, Shu Yang has obtained two certifications: a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Institute for Supply Management in September 2018, and a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management in November 2020.
