Samarjit Das

Samarjit Das is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and signal processing, currently serving as the Director of Bosch Research and Technology Center and Bosch Center for AI in Pittsburgh since October 2013. Das leads cutting-edge AI research initiatives, including multimodal Foundation Models and Neuro-Symbolic AI, while also overseeing the development of next-generation IoT and security technologies. Previously, Das held roles such as Chief Scientist at Bosch Research, managing teams focused on the intersection of AI and IoT, and has established collaborations with prestigious institutions like Carnegie Mellon University and NASA-JPL. Das's academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and a postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University.
