Lovis Shimo has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Vulploegmedewerker at Ahold until 2013. From 2014 to 2017, they served as a Tutor at Trapp studiecoaching. They then moved on to KAS BANK as an HR Intern, where they handled personnel administration and supported HR reports and data analysis. In 2018, they joined UMC Utrecht as an HR Graduate and later as an HR-Employee. In 2019, they worked at UMAI Restaurant Software as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, responsible for recruitment and employer branding in the Asia Pacific region. In 2020, they held multiple roles at UMC Utrecht, including Project Assistant and Human Resources Assistant. They also served as a Board Member at Our Footprints Foundation. In 2021, they joined Mopinion as a Customer Success Manager (EMEA), and in 2022, they co-founded 360-Spinner.

Lovis Shimo has a diverse education history. They started by completing their secondary education at Comenius College Hilversum, where they obtained a Diploma in Voortgezet Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) from 2007 to 2013.

Afterward, Lovis pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Resource Management (Fast-Track) from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) between 2015 and 2018. During this time, they also enrolled in Utrecht University for a year in 2014 to study Bachelor Psychologie.

To further their education, Lovis undertook a Minor in Finance from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 2017 to 2018.

Later on, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Innovation in European Business at University College Cork from 2018 to 2020. In 2019, Lovis also attended ISC Paris, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree focused on Innovation in European Business for one year.

Additionally, Lovis obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification in March 2020 from Scrum.org.
