Sasika Sankalana

Sasika Sankalana has work experience in two companies. From August 2021 to April 2023, they were a Committee Member at Moraspirit Initiative, and from April 2023 to the present, they have held the position of Head of Web and Technology Pillar at the same company. Additionally, from October 2021 to August 2023, Sasika worked at INTECS - UoM, first as a Committee Member and then as Vice President. From January 2023, they also started working as a Software Developer at Dinno Technologies.

Sasika Sankalana is currently pursuing a BSc (hons) degree in Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa, starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2025. Prior to joining the university, from 2017 to 2019, Sasika attended Nalanda College Colombo, where the specific degree obtained is unknown, but Sasika focused on Physical Sciences.

In addition to formal education, Sasika has obtained several certifications. In 2021, Sasika completed the "Google IT Automation with Python" program offered by Google and acquired certificates in "Capstone: Retrieving, Processing, and Visualizing Data with Python," "Using Databases with Python," "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)," "Python Data Structures," and "Using Python to Access Web Data" from the University of Michigan. In 2023, Sasika completed various online courses, including "Intro to Machine Learning" from Kaggle and "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" and "Introduction to Statistics" from Coursera. Sasika also holds a "Python (Basic) Certificate" obtained from HackerRank in 2021.
