Marcus Washington

Marcus Washington has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Marcus currently serves as a Community Director at Morehouse College, where they spearhead community engagement programs and champions inclusivity and diversity. In this role, they also supervise and mentors a team of Resident Advisors.

Prior to their current role, Marcus worked at Intuit as a Tax Prep Assistant & Product Support. Marcus consistently ranked in the top 5% across the company for their survey response rate and net promoter score, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction. Marcus responded to client inquiries, resolved technical issues, and collaborated with multiple internal departments to create solutions.

Marcus also has teaching experience at EF Education First Teachers, where they prepared lesson plans and conducted activities to develop language skills in students aged 6-17. Additionally, they worked as a STEM Workshop Coach & Scholar Advisor at SMASH, leading virtual workshops and guiding high school students in using Design Thinking to solve social problems through STEM.

In previous roles, Marcus displayed leadership capabilities as a Head Residential Advisor at SMASH and a Lead Resident Advisor at Morehouse College. Marcus successfully managed teams, established an on-site culture, and oversaw community development within residential houses. During their time at Morehouse College, they also assisted in the administration of the Computer Science Department and served as a Resident Advisor.

Marcus Washington attended Bay View High School from 2011 to 2015. Marcus then went on to study Kinesiology, Sports Studies & Physical Education at Morehouse College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019.
