Brad Rodarmer

Brad Rodarmer is the Executive Director at MoreThanData Inc. Brad was previously the Director of Operations and Business Development at Rodarmer Incorporated from January 2013 to December 2017.

Brad has years of experience in system software and databases from their time in Silicon Valley, as well as over twenty years experience in US military project management, tactical intelligence and operational security. These skills allowed him to produce exabyte-scale encrypted data warehouse systems for management and analysis of sensitive information.

The Sequence Read Archive (SRA) at the NIH's National Center for Biotechnology Information was created in 2007, with data storage, transfer and processing software designed and built by Rodarmer for NCBI. Brad transformed a peak average of 35 terabytes per day of raw genomic data into a useful public resource with over 8.5 peta-bases of ETL'd data. Brad also managed the SRA development team at NCBI.

Brad leads NCBI staff daily, building the database from sequences submitted by individual laboratories and by data exchange with the international nucleotide sequence databases, European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the DNA Database of Japan (DDBJ).

Brad Rodarmer attended Kalamazoo College and Sullivan University. Brad has a certification from Shipley Associates in Capturing Federal Business and Managing and Writing Federal Proposals. Brad also has a certification from the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth in Residential Builder's License.
