VP, Marketing at Morgan Properties

Michael Hand is currently the VP of Marketing at Morgan Properties. Prior to their current position, they served as the Vice President of Marketing for Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant from January 2016 to December 2020. Michael was brought in as a senior leadership team member to help with the development of a corporate marketing and strategic plan for private equity-backed restaurant/brewery group that was poised for rapid regional expansion. Michael's executive responsibilities included driving and managing strategic planning and execution of marketing, branding, public relations, new store openings, and corporate partnerships.

During their time with Iron Hill, they spearheaded the re-design of all consumer-facing brand elements, including menu upgrades, complete website transformation (design, navigation, content), packaging enhancements, social media presence, and onsite guest experience. Social media followers doubled in size during their first 18 months. Website traffic increased by 71% along with reduction in bounce rate, increase in page visits and additional visit duration during their first six months post-site launch and SEO implementation. The loyalty program overhaul netted an increase of 43% in member base during the first two months of activation and rollout, driving incremental membership revenue and same store traffic gains of 7.8% (in declining market) in the first eighteen months. Loyalty visit frequency and spend per visit also increased since the program re-introduction.

Michael Hand's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, coursework in an Executive MBA Program from Michigan State University, and online courses from Duke University and Hamilton College. Michael is also certified by SpotX (now part of Magnite) in Data Enablement and CTV is for Everyone: Buyer's Guide to CTV, The Johns Hopkins University in COVID-19 Contact Tracing, Front Office Sports in Sports Marketing Essentials, University of Michigan in Sport-related Concussion Training, and HubSpot in Email Marketing Certified and Inbound Certified.
