David Stark

Head of HR Data & Analytics at Morgan Stanley

David Stark is the Head of HR Data & Analytics at Morgan Stanley. Prior to their current role, David served as the Medical Director for the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In this role, David was responsible for NIH Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) Center of Excellence dedicated to solving data science challenges surrounding study of human movement across a range of behavioral and medical conditions.

Before their role at the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare, David served as a Distinguished Fellow at the Mobilize Center in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University. In this role, David again worked with the NIH Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) Center of Excellence, this time dedicated to solving data science challenges surrounding study of human movement across a range of behavioral and medical conditions.

David began their career as a postdoctoral fellow in biomedical informatics at Stanford University School of Medicine. David then went on to serve as a physician-in-residence at IBM Research before becoming a resident in pediatric neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. David Stark is a graduate of Harvard Medical School (M.D.), Yale University (B.S. in Biology - Neurobiology), and Stanford University School of Medicine (M.S. in Biomedical Informatics). David also has a certification from the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Clinical Informatics and from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with special qualification in child neurology. Dr. Stark is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.

They work with Kara Underwood - Managing Director, Head of Talent & Learning Strategy, Susan Reid - Managing Director, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion. David Stark reports to Mandell Crawley, Chief Human Resources Officer.
