Genai is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a BS degree in Mathematics and Sociology. After college, she was recruited by Coates Sports Management to play professional basketball.

Genai played in numerous countries for 8 years, including Spanish Islands Mallorca, Ibiza and Tenerife. She also had stints in the WNBA with teams like the Tulsa Shock and Atlanta Dream. Genai continued to work at a finance company while living abroad. She achieved her MSc in Health Science as well as a certification of Spanish studies while living abroad.

Genai began her career at a large national bank in 2013, providing personal banking solutions to clients. She joined Morgan Stanley and provided financial planning and risk management for high net worth individuals in 2014, where she focused on investing for these wealthy people. Genai is now a partner with The Schwitzer-Grossman Group at Morgan Stanley - the largest wealth advisory group of its kind by size and scope of client relationships. There she focuses on business owners, their families and athletes who are among the most affluent members of society.
