Scott M. Bilyeu

Scott M. Bilyeu is the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer of Triangle Peak Partners, LP. He has spent the majority of his career managing the accounting and back office operations of investment management firms. Prior to joining Triangle Peak, Scott was the Chief Financial Officer for Abingdon Capital Management, a McLean, Virginia-based hedge fund serving the investment needs of institutions and high net worth individuals. While there he introduced a number of refinements to the firm’s operations and control environment.

From October 1995 to January 2005, he worked for EGM Capital, a registered investment advisor and hedge fund manager located in San Francisco. He began his career with EGM as its Controller, primarily focusing on the accounting and related activities of the management company. He later became the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial aspects of the firm, including the establishment and maintenance of operational and financial controls for the firm’s pooled investment funds.

Previously, Scott was an internal auditor for Allstate Insurance Corp. He also was an audit and tax associate for Clifton, Gunderson & Co., a nationwide accounting and consulting firm based in Peoria, Illinois.

In 1993, Scott received a B.A. in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and was registered by the Illinois Board of Examiners as a Certified Public Accountant after successfully completing the CPA exam.
