Andrew Maier currently serves as the Help Desk Specialist Lead at the Morgridge Institute for Research, a position held since 2010. In this role, Andrew assists researchers affiliated with the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery in accessing IT resources and troubleshooting computer problems, while also managing aspects of the supporting IT infrastructure. Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Help Desk Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from July 2008 to September 2010, where responsibilities included serving as a Student Systems Administrator for the Condor research project, focusing on the maintenance and administration of numerous computing servers, along with handling complex system and network administration tasks.
