Associate Director Of The Laboratory For Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry at Morgridge Institute for Research

Katherine Overmyer has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research. Katherine began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they worked from August 2005 to May 2008. Katherine then went on to work as a Research Lab Specialist at the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan from June 2009 to June 2010. In 2015, they joined the University of Michigan again as a Research Associate in the Department of Internal Medicine for a brief period from January to March. Simultaneously, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Genome Center of Wisconsin from March 2015 to September 2017. Currently, Katherine holds the position of Associate Director of the Laboratory for Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry at the Morgridge Institute for Research, a role they began in January 2019. Katherine also previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Morgridge Institute for Research from September 2017 to January 2019.

Katherine Overmyer completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of North Carolina in the years 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2014.
