Annette Brennand

Annette Brennand is a seasoned legal professional with a comprehensive background in regulatory strategy and advisory. Currently serving as Senior Regional Counsel at Morningstar since April 2024, Annette has previously held roles at Linklaters as a Re:link Lawyer and Legal Consultant from May 2023 to April 2024. From June 2018 to April 2023, Annette was Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where responsibilities included heading Regulatory Affairs and acting as Chief of Staff for EMEA Compliance. Prior to that, Annette served as Director of Regulatory Relations at Barclays from August 2015 to November 2017, managing FCA and PRA / BoE engagements for Barclays’ non-retail businesses. Annette’s extensive experience at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2015 included the position of Executive Director and a secondee role at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Annette holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of East Anglia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, London.
