Brandon Strom, PhD has extensive experience in quantitative analysis and research. Brandon began their career as a Developer Analyst at Morningstar in July 2013 and later held the role of Associate Quantitative Analyst. From April 2015 to October 2019, they served as a Quantitative Research Analyst, followed by Lead Quantitative Analyst until December 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Quantitative Analyst at Morningstar starting from January 2023. Prior to their work at Morningstar, Brandon was a Technology Consultant at the University of Michigan from December 2005 to July 2007. Brandon also completed their doctoral studies as a Doctoral Student at Northwestern University from September 2008 to December 2012, specializing in computational mechanics and numerical simulation of solids.

Brandon Strom, PhD, has a strong education background in the field of engineering and mathematics. Brandon obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Mathematics (Pure) from the University of Michigan in 2007. Brandon then went on to earn their Master of Science degree in Engineering Science and Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University in 2008. In 2012, they completed their doctoral studies at Northwestern University, earning a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, in 2011, they obtained a certificate in Management for Scientists and Engineers from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
