Rajiv Mote

Rajiv Mote is an experienced software engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Morningstar since September 2018, overseeing research products. In addition, Rajiv has been a freelance columnist for Dragonmount.com since August 2020, focusing on The Wheel of Time series, and has worked as an independent freelance writer since April 2016, with a portfolio of short fiction across multiple genres. Prior roles include Associate Editor at Shimmer Magazine, Software Development Manager at Cars.com, and Engineering Manager at Google, where Rajiv has managed teams, led software development projects, and contributed to significant software architecture. Rajiv holds a BA in Computer Science from Northwestern University and has completed certificate programs in Creative Writing at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.
