Steve Kaplan

Steve Kaplan served as a member of Morningstar's advisory board beginning in 1998 and was elected to the board of directors in 1999. Since 1988, he has been a professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business where he currently is the Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance. Kaplan holds a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and economics from Harvard College and a Ph.D. in business economics from Harvard University. He currently serves on the board of directors of Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. and formerly served on the board of trustees of the Columbia Acorn Funds and the board of directors of Accretive Health, Inc.
