Orenthio Goodwin

Cybersecurity Professor at Morris College

Orenthio Goodwin, Ph.D., currently serves as a Cybersecurity Professor at Morris College since January 2023. With extensive teaching experience, Orenthio held positions at Western Governors University as a Course Instructor from May 2016 to January 2022 and worked as Adjunct Faculty at Alamo Colleges, University of the Incarnate Word®, and Our Lady of the Lake University. Prior to academia, Orenthio was a senior computer specialist at South Texas Veterans Health Care System, overseeing information systems, and served as an IT specialist at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research, focusing on database administration. Additional experience includes roles as Lead Faculty Area Chair at the University of Phoenix and working as a systems analyst at Marriott Vacation Club International. Orenthio earned a Ph.D. in Organization & Business from Capella University and possesses master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Computer Information Technology and Business Administration, respectively.
