Said Sewell, Ph.D., CFRM, currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Morris College and is the President and Managing Partner of The Empowerment Group, LLC, a consulting firm focused on educational services. Sewell's extensive experience includes roles such as Director and Chief Academic, Research, and Student Success Officer at the Atlanta University Center Consortium, Interim Vice President of Student Affairs at Morehouse College, and Senior Fellow at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Prior academic leadership positions include Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lincoln University of Missouri and Assistant Provost at Kent State University. A founder of the Center for African-American Males: Research, Success, and Leadership, Sewell's educational background encompasses a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from Clark Atlanta University, as well as advanced degrees in Public Administration and Fund Raising Management.
