Mike Polis has a solid work experience across various companies. Mike started their career in 1985 at Sikorsky, where they worked as a Labor Relations Representative until 1995. Following that, they joined Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. in 1996 as a Human Resources Manager, serving on the Business Planning Committee and providing expertise in HR for business planning and goals. With the company, they also played a role in selecting alternative health and insurance benefits. In 2014, they moved to Morris Group International as the Corporate Director of Human Resources, responsible for administering and recommending changes to wages and benefits programs, as well as overseeing safety programs. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Vice President of Human Resources, where they were a key member of the executive team, leading HR operations and ensuring compliance with policies and employee relations.
Mike Polis completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Organizational Behavior from Sacred Heart University from 1974 to 1977. Mike pursued further education and obtained a Masters of Science degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of New Haven from 1984 to 1985.
