Carlos Villate

Carlos Villate is an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer with a robust background in the design and assessment of transportation structures. Currently at Morrison Hershfield since December 2018, Carlos previously held the same title at Stantec from May 2010 to November 2018. Expertise includes the preliminary and detailed design of bridges and culverts, structural condition assessments, seismic retrofitting, and construction supervision. Carlos has also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas and has freelanced on various engineering projects. Professional education includes a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes and a Specialist degree in Innovation and University Pedagogy from Universidad Piloto de Colombia.
