Lincoln MacDonald pursued their education at the University of New Brunswick. From 1982 to 1987, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BScEng) with a focus on Geological Engineering. Lincoln then continued their studies at the same institution from 1988 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with Honors in History. Additionally, in July 2021, Lincoln obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
