Ronald Väli

Senior Research Scientist at Morrow Batteries

Ronald Väli has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ronald started their career as an Engineering Intern at the Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel de Nantes in 2014. Later on, they joined RonLand OÜ in 2013 as the Founder, where they contributed until 2019. Concurrently, they worked as a Chemist at the University of Tartu from 2012 to 2019. In 2017, Ronald became an R&D Manager at PowerUp Energy Technologies until 2019. Ronald then joined Dalhousie University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2019 to 2021. Ronald's next role was at Skeleton Technologies in 2021, where they held positions as a Technology Engineer, Senior Technology Engineer, and eventually as the Lead Technology Engineer for the SuperBattery project until November 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Research Scientist at Morrow Batteries, starting in December 2022.

Ronald Väli obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrochemistry from the University of Tartu between 2015 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemistry at the same university from 2013 to 2015. Ronald also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from the University of Tartu, which they earned between 2010 and 2013. Ronald Väli attended Tallinna Audentese Erakool from 1996 to 2008 for their high school education. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ronald Väli has also obtained the EFSET 73 Proficient (CEFR C2) certification from EF Education First.
