Maryann Waryjas is a strategic advisor at Morrow Sodali. Maryann was previously a senior vice president at Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation from November 2015 to June 2016.
Waryjas was recruited by Hertz to be a C-suite leader of Herc Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HRI) in its “going public” debut and spin-off from Hertz. An effective, collaborative negotiator, they led billions of dollars of successful multi-layer financings in tight markets and tight timeframes. Maryann worked effectively and collegially with, and earned the respect of, prominent activist stockholders. Maryann enhanced company decision-making by developing and leading Enterprise Risk Management and ESG initiatives. Her leadership in bringing people together to work towards common goals was key in developing Herc’s global key markets growth strategy, delivering digital solutions for Herc’s mobile strategy and sales, the design and implementation of its accounting systems and controls, and the successful migrations of complex point-of-sale and Oracle systems.
Maryann Waryjas received their Doctor of Law (JD) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law cum laude. Maryann also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from Loyola University Chicago, which they received magna cum laude. In addition, they are certified by the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) as a NACD Board Leadership Fellow.
