Tessa van Haaften

Tessa van Haaften has a diverse work experience in scientific research and teaching. Tessa is currently working at Mosa Meat as a Scientist since October 2022, following their role as a Junior Scientist from March 2021 to November 2022. Prior to that, they were the Global Lead Generation Manager at CytoSMART Technologies BV from October 2019 to March 2021. Tessa also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, where they developed methods to analyze cell connectivity and served as a Teaching Assistant for a Tissue Engineering course. Tessa gained further research experience as an Intern at Åbo Akademi, analyzing the influence of Notch1 signaling in breast tumor-induced angiogenesis. In addition, they worked as a Student Researcher at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, studying the influence of respiratory mechanics on the cardiovascular system through computational modeling. Throughout their career, Tessa has utilized various experimental techniques, numerical algorithms, and image analysis methods.

Tessa van Haaften began their education in 2007 at Lek en Linge Culemborg, where they pursued VWO with a focus on Natuur en Techniek and Natuur en Gezondheid. Tessa completed this program in 2013.

Following their undergraduate studies, Tessa enrolled in Eindhoven University of Technology in 2013 for their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Tessa successfully completed this program in 2016.
