Hon Yuen Lum

Deputy Director Learning Enablement at Agency for Integrated Care (Singapore)

Hon Yuen Lum has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Beginning in 1993, they served in various junior command, instructional, and staff roles in the Singapore Army. In 2007, they moved to the National Service Affairs Department where they handled planning, development, and coordination of National Service operations and training initiatives. Hon Yuen also developed IT systems to streamline processing and payment for NSmen records. In 2008, they became the Principal of the Basic Military Training Centre School, overseeing the training and welfare of newly enlisted recruits. In 2010, they became the Deputy Commander and Head of the Training & Learning Systems Branch at the Infantry Training Institute. Hon Yuen was responsible for curriculum development, training performance, camp facilities management, and HR matters. In 2014, they joined the Pioneer Generation Office as the Head of Training, designing and delivering training programs to support Senior Outreach needs. Lastly, starting in 2018, they joined the Agency for Integrated Care, where they served as the Head of Workplace Experience and later became the Deputy Director of Learning Enablement, focusing on upskilling the Care Community Workforce.

Hon Yuen Lum completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Productions Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 1993. Hon Yuen then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Defence Technology and Systems from the National University of Singapore in 2001. In 2006, they attended the National University of Singapore once again and obtained a Masters in Business Administration, specializing in Corporate Strategy and Management. In 2007, they completed the Nanjing Army Senior Command and Staff Course at the Army Command College in Nanjing. Hon Yuen also attended the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College in 2002. Hon Yuen Lum's earlier education background includes New Town Secondary School, but no specific degree or field of study information is provided.
