Mechanical Engineer - Materials Lead at Mosaic Manufacturing

Leah McLeod-Demers has worked in a variety of roles since 2019. Leah began as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto and Store Manager at the University of Toronto Engineering Stores. In 2020, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Inkbox and a Software Engineering Quality Assurance Intern at Influitive. In 2021, they took on the role of Co-Captain of the University of Toronto Concrete Toboggan Design Team, where they hired and managed a team of 13 leads, created a 12-month Gantt chart timeline, managed a $60k budget, communicated with industry professionals and sponsors, and hosted weekly meetings and events for leads and general members. Currently, Leah is working towards building all components of the toboggan and bringing 30 members of the team to the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race in February 2022. In 2022, they will become a Mechanical Engineer - Materials Lead at Mosaic Manufacturing.

Leah McLeod-Demers is currently a student at the University of Toronto, studying Mechanical Engineering. Leah began their studies in 2017 and is expected to graduate in 2022.
