Vitaliy Chiley

Vitaliy Chiley is currently a Research Scientist (Head of LLM Pretraining) at MosaicML since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior ML Research Scientist at Cerebras Systems from August 2018 to November 2022. Vitaliy also served as an ECE Teaching Assistant at the University of California San Diego from September 2016 to June 2018. Vitaliy gained experience as a Data Science Intern at Intel Nervana from June 2017 to September 2017. Vitaliy worked as a UCSD Student Researcher at UCSD from June 2016 to December 2016. Before that, they worked as a Private Tutor at Professional Tutors of America from April 2016 to June 2016 and as an ECE Tutor at the University of California, San Diego from March 2016 to June 2016. Vitaliy also has experience as an Engineer Intern at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems from June 2015 to September 2015 and as a Technical Intern at Northrop Grumman Corporation from June 2014 to June 2015.

Vitaliy Chiley completed their education as follows:

- From 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in ISRC (Machine Learning) at UC San Diego.

- Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, specializing in Machine Learning, Controls, and DSP, between 2013 and 2016.

- Vitaliy'seducation began at Sierra College from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree with honors. Vitaliy'sfield of study included Physics, Math, and Natural Sciences.
