John Showell

John Showell has extensive work experience in the finance and technology industries. John is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Mosaic Smart Data, a position they have held since 2017. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Advisor in various start-ups in 2016 and was the Client Services Director at ION Trading from 2014 to 2016.

Before joining ION Trading, John attended Harvard Business School in 2014 as a student in the General Management Program. Prior to that, they worked at Citi for several years in various roles, including Director - Head of Fixed Income Trade Processing from 2010 to 2014, Director - Head of North America Rates Technology from 2007 to 2010, and Area Manager - Senior Vice President from 2006 to 2007.

John began their career at Citigroup in 2002, where they held positions such as Area Manager - Vice President and Project Manager - Vice President. John also has experience working at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney as a Senior Analyst Programmer and Analyst Programmer, and at Salomon Brothers as a Trainee Analyst. John began their career with an internship at J.P. Morgan in 1997.

John Showell's education history is as follows:

In 1988-1994, they attended Oxted County School, where they did not obtain a specific degree or field of study.

From 1994-1997, they studied at the University of Warwick, completing a degree in Electronic Engineering (BEng).

John continued their studies at the University of Warwick from 1997-1998, completing a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering (MEng).

In 1998, they also obtained a certification in SFA Securities and Financial Derivatives Representation from the Securities Institute.

In 2014, they completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

John Showell later obtained additional certifications, including Machine Learning from Stanford University in April 2017 and Computational Neuroscience from the University of Washington in May 2017.

Most recently, in January 2021, they obtained a certification in Lead, Coach, Win! from the Sales Impact Academy.
