Stephanie Dowland has a diverse work history that spans over a decade. Stephanie began their career as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2005. In 2008, they worked as a Data Management Technician at ECCS Nationwide Mobile Laboratories. From 2009 to 2010, they served as a Chemistry Technician at Veolia Water North America, where they performed water quality analysis. In 2010, Stephanie interned at the VA-Pacific Islands Health Care Services and worked as the temporary Women's Health Program Assistant. Stephanie organized conferences and coordinated a Health Assessment for the Women's Health Program. In 2011, Stephanie became a Research Associate at the University of Hawaii Neuroscience and MRI Research, assisting with a clinical research study. Stephanie also completed their Master's in Public Health internship during this time. In 2012, they joined The Grant County Health District as a Program Coordinator, where they co-authored a county-wide Community Health Assessment and designed a Community Health Improvement Plan. Most recently, Stephanie has been working at the Moses Lake Community Health Center since 2016. Stephanie started as a Quality Improvement Program Manager and was promoted to Chief Quality Officer in June 2019.
Stephanie Dowland completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and French from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 2003 to 2007. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of West Florida from 2010 to 2012.
