James Barker

James Barker is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. James is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Moteefe since 2021. Before that, James worked as the Head of Product at Co-op funeralcare from August 2020 to January 2021, where they successfully launched a new website and implemented improved ways of working. From 2018 to 2020, James held various roles at Synchronoss Technologies, including Vice President of Engineering and Platform Engineering Senior Director. During this time, they oversaw multinational teams, managed budgets, and led the delivery and implementation of commercial SaaS platforms. Prior to their roles at Synchronoss, James worked at honeybee as the Product Engineering & Operations Director, where they transformed operations and developed a digital experience platform. James also has experience at Connected World Services as the Product Delivery Director, Carphone Warehouse as the Head of Development Services, Best Buy Europe as the Head of Solution Architecture, TalkTalk as the Head of Development, and Carphone Warehouse as the Retail Systems Analyst Manager.

James Barker completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography at Middlesex University from 1990 to 1993. In addition, they obtained the certification of Enterprise and Solution Architecture Practitioner from ISEB (BCS) in August 2011, and the certification of PRINCE2 Practitioner from BCS in 2006.
