Khary Brown

Khary Brown's work experience includes serving as an Executive Leadership Fellow at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Mother Jones, including Vice President Media Sales and Partnerships, Associate Publisher for Sales & Marketing, Director of Integrated Advertising, and Advertising Account Representative. Their tenure at Mother Jones spanned from 2004 to 2016.

Khary Brown completed their Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University from 1999 to 2003. In addition, they obtained a certification in the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in May 2022.
