Director, Platforms And Innovation at Mother Tongue

George Cook's work experience includes serving as the Head of Technology at Mother Tongue starting from October 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at RWS IP Services, including Head of Operations - Language Technology, Key Account Director, Project Specialist, Head of Translation Completion, and Translation Completion Assistant. During their time at RWS IP Services, George created and implemented a rationale for the use of CAT and related technologies, developed SOPs, built a team of specialists, managed multiple contracts, and led a team of project managers. Before joining RWS IP Services, they co-founded and served as a Director at Kohera Limited from June 2003 to August 2005.

George Cook completed their undergraduate education at the University of Leeds from 2002 to 2005. George earned a BA (Hons) degree in Linguistics and Phonetics during this time. Prior to attending university, they attended Sir William Borlase's Grammar School from 1995 to 2002, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided.

In addition to their formal education, George Cook has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the SDL Post-Editing certification offered by the RWS Group. In the same year, they also completed the RWS Leadership Development Programme provided by MTD Training. Earlier in 2019, they obtained the Trados Studio 2019 Certification - Advanced from the RWS Group. George Cook further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining certifications in Connected Leadership from the World of Work Project CIC in 2022 and in Technology, Innovation & Management from The Open University in 2023.
