Shaun Kelly

Shaun Kelly has extensive work experience in various roles. Shaun has worked at Mother Tongue since 2018, where they have held positions such as Operations Director, US, and Continuous Improvement Manager. In these roles, Shaun supported the US general manager in team management and ensured the smooth running of the business. Shaun also focused on process and workflow improvement, managing work efficiently and productively. Prior to Mother Tongue, Shaun worked as a Project Manager and Marketing professional at Middlebury Institute Globe Multilingual Services, specializing in Japanese to English translation and localization. Shaun also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and as a Localization Project Management Intern at Box. Shaun's earlier experience includes roles as a Coordinator at Toho Technology, Japanese Peer Tutor at Knox College, and a participant in the Minakami Town Cultural Practicum at Takumi no Sato. Shaun also served as a Newsletter Editor/Clerical & Maintenance Assistant at Optimus: The Center for Health.

Shaun Kelly has a diverse education history. In 2009, they enrolled at Knox College and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Studies in 2013. During their time at Knox College, they participated in a one-year exchange program at Waseda University from 2011 to 2012, where they focused on the School of International Liberal Studies and Center for Japanese Language.

In 2013, Shaun took part in the Critical Language Scholarship Program and studied Japanese Language at Himeji Dokkyo University for a short period. This program allowed him to develop their language skills in Japanese.

Shaun continued their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Translation and Localization Management (Japanese) from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Shaun completed this program from 2016 to 2018, further enhancing their language proficiency and gaining expertise in translation and localization management.

Aside from their formal education, Shaun also obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. In 2017, they completed the Build - Product Management and Foundations - Product Management certifications at Pragmatic Marketing.
