Prerna started working as a Deputy Manager for Hero MotoCorp in July 2019 and led the development teams to meet BS-6 regulatory requirement, launching Maestro 110cc PAN India. In June 2020, they became an Associate Manager and led EV projects from Quality function, launching Vida V1 pro & plus to domestic and export markets. In 2023, Prerna will work for Motherson Innovations as a Technology Strategist, responsible for advance technology scouting for the automotive domain and researching on market, industry and business trends for potential business opportunities.

Prerna holds a Post Graduation Certificate Course in Women in Leadership from Imperial College London which they obtained from 2022 to 2023. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Technology in Energy Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2017 to 2019. Before their master's, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, although their start and end year are unknown. Additionally, they completed their 12th-grade education in PCM from Delhi Public School Dadri. Prerna also holds several certifications, including Foundations of Project Management from Google, Introduction to Project Management from Simplilearn, Project Management from Great Learning, and Introduction to Programming with MATLAB from Coursera.
