Omkar Kulkarni

Omkar Kulkarni has diverse work experience in the field of technology. Omkar started their career at Accenture in 2016 as an Application Development Analyst, where they worked with the Java domain and focused on the SAP Hybris e-commerce platform. Omkar was responsible for monitoring and fixing everyday bugs and directly communicating with clients to address important issues.

In 2020, Omkar joined Fraunhofer FOKUS as a Research Assistant. During their time there, they were involved in various projects such as integrating automated security tests into the CI/CD pipeline, conducting application security analysis using OWASP ZAP and SONARQUBE, and developing programs in C for Bluetooth protocol analysis. Omkar also developed a web application using Java and the Spring Framework, and contributed to creating teaching materials and course content on IoT security for the Fraunhofer Academy.

Currently, Omkar is working as a Back End Developer at MotionMiners GmbH since 2022.

Omkar Kulkarni completed their Master's degree in Information and Communications Engineering from Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) between 2018 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Mumbai, which they completed from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Omkar also holds several certifications. Omkar obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in February 2023. In March 2021, they completed the Machine Learning A-Z™: Python & R in Data Science certification from Udemy. A year earlier, in March 2020, they obtained the OWASP ZAP from Scratch certification, also from Udemy.
