Michael Prieto

Michael Prieto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael is currently working as a Program Manager at Motiv Space Systems, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Programs and later as a Program Manager at Applied Composites from August 2021 to September 2022 and September 2019 to August 2021, respectively. In the aerospace industry, they worked at Virgin Orbit as a Manufacturing Engineer, Machining from April 2019 to September 2019, and as a Sr. Process Planner from September 2017 to April 2019. Michael also held Program Manager and Program Manager II positions at Coast Composites from January 2017 to September 2017 and August 2014 to January 2017, respectively. Before that, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Pankl Aerospace Systems from October 2013 to August 2014. Michael'searlier work experience includes roles such as Design / Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Manager at Renmark-Pacific Corporation from June 2005 to October 2013, Design Engineer at Pace Technologies from May 2004 to February 2005, and Engineer at SDI Industries, Inc from October 2003 to February 2004. Michael also gained experience as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Composite Optics, Inc from September 2001 to March 2003 and as an Engineering Intern at Jet Propulsion Laboratory from June 2001 to September 2001.

Michael Prieto earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. Michael completed their studies in Mechanical Engineering from 1998 to 2003. In addition to their degree, Michael obtained certifications including ADVISA Management Essentials from ADVISA in May 2022, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in July 2020, and Engineer-In-Training (EIT) from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists - State of California in June 2003.
