Carl Yu

Carl Yu is a software engineer with a diverse background in software development and machine learning. Currently at Motoinsight since 2020, Carl specializes in creating features and resolving issues. Previously, Carl contributed to the Participatory Culture Foundation from 2019 to 2021, enhancing a subtitling platform by modernizing web pages, developing a billing system for linguists, and integrating QuickBooks. In 2018, Carl served as a Software Developer and Machine Learning Specialist at irayaenergies, where a deep learning classifier for geoscience images was developed using Keras. Carl also has experience as an R&D Engineer at NetworkLabs, Inc. from 2014 to 2015, maintaining and developing new features for Nokia's Evolved Packet Core DNS framework. Carl holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines, earned in 2014.
