Derek Tsaknopoulos

Derek Tsaknopoulos is an experienced R&D Senior Research Scientist at Mott Corporation, with a focus on project management, failure analysis, and the development of innovative metallurgic solutions for various industries, particularly in Titanium PTLs, corrosion-resistant materials, and refractory products. Prior to their current role, Derek held positions at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where responsibilities included project management, training, and technical consulting across collaborative research efforts. Derek holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
