Jimmy Thompson

Jimmy Thompson is a seasoned professional in tunnel engineering and project management, currently serving as a Principal Project Manager at Mott MacDonald since May 2019, overseeing business development and proposal preparation for various transit and water tunnel projects in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Previous roles include Tunnel Design Lead for the Ontario Line in Toronto and Design Engineer for the BART Extension to San Jose. Prior experience includes key positions at HNTB, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Hatch Mott MacDonald, MTR Corporation Ltd., and Balfour Beatty Construction International, contributing to notable projects including the California High Speed Rail Project and the Red Line LRT Project in Tel Aviv. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
