John Hawkins

John Hawkins is a highly experienced professional in the built environment, currently serving as Technical Director for Facades at Mott MacDonald since January 2013, where responsibilities include peer reviewing designs for buildability and weathertightness, as well as BIM coordination throughout project lifecycles. In addition to this role, John is a member of the Resilience Working Group for NZIA since September 2013 and previously functioned as a Design Studio Engineering Advisor at The University of Auckland from March 2013 to December 2017, focusing on professional practice techniques for architecture and engineering students. Prior experience includes a role as an Architectural Graduate at Jasmax, managing various project stages across multiple sectors, and inventory control at Hydraulink Fluid Connectors Ltd. John holds a PGDip in Business Administration and a Master of Architecture from The University of Auckland, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from UCL.
