Alison Roberts Hopkins serves as the Assistant Dean of Studies and Academic Dean for Sophomores and Juniors at Mount Holyoke College since August 2015, also holding the position of Class Dean for Sophomores and Juniors. Prior experience includes roles as Research Advisor and Adjunct Faculty Lecturer at Smith College from June 2014 to November 2015, and Director of Undergraduate Advising at the University of Massachusetts Amherst during the 2014-2015 academic year. Alison was the Director of the Academic Advising & Planning Center at the College of Charleston from January 2009 to August 2012 and spent a decade at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in various capacities, including Assistant Director/Senior Advisor, Academic Advisor, Research Associate, and Instructor in the Department of Sociology. Alison holds an A.B. in Sociology with a Certificate in African-American Studies from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
