Sarah Stefana Smith, PhD, is an accomplished academic and visual artist, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Mount Holyoke College since July 2020. In addition to her role at Mount Holyoke, Sarah Stefana Smith has maintained a successful career as a Visual Artist and Photographer since January 2006. Previous academic positions include Postdoctoral Fellow of Academic Diversity at American University, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Penn State University. Sarah Stefana Smith has also held teaching and research roles at various institutions, including the University of Toronto, where a PhD in Sociology and Equity Studies in Education was earned. Educational credentials also include a Master of Fine Arts from Goddard College and a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College. In addition to academic endeavors, Sarah Stefana Smith has design and facilitated curriculum focused on diversity and multiculturalism for youth.
